Plum Village began in 1982 on a modest farm in southwestern France and was the first monastic community established by Thích Nhất Hạnh in the West. It gradually developed into an international Buddhist practice center, made up of several hamlets spread across the countryside and welcoming meditators from around the world. Thích Nhất Hạnh lived, wrote, taught, and gardened here, and guided a global community of practitioners. Plum Village carries on his meditation and mindfulness teachings, emphasizing awareness of the present moment while walking, eating, and working, and cultivating compassion and harmony through communal life.梅村于1982年从法国西南部一处简朴农庄起步，是一行禅师在西方建立的首个僧团。这里逐渐发展为国际性的佛教修行中心，由分布在乡间的多个院区组成，接待世界各地的禅修者。一行禅师曾在此居住、写作、教学与园艺，并引导全球修行社群。梅村传承其禅修与正念教导，强调在行走、饮食及劳动中觉察当下，并通过共同生活培育慈悲与和谐。

• Visitors must register for a retreat or attend a Mindfulness Day on a date announced on the official website. Overnight stays must be registered in advance and confirmed; overnight visitors without reservations are not accepted.参访须报名禅修营，或按官网公布的日期参加正念日；住宿必须事先注册并获确认，不接受未经预约的过夜访客。
• Wear loose, modest clothing that covers the shoulders, chest, and back, with trousers or skirts extending below the knees. Avoid shorts, tank tops, and revealing clothing out of respect for the meditation hall.穿宽松朴素的衣服，遮住肩、胸、背，裤裙长度超过膝盖；避免短裤、背心及暴露服装，以尊重禅堂。
• Observe the periods of silence and the shared practice schedule, and eat mindfully. Breakfast is usually held in silence throughout; lunch and dinner begin with 15 to 20 minutes of silence. Minimize phone and internet use.遵守静默与共同修习安排，用餐时保持正念；早餐通常全程静默，午晚餐开始时静默15至20分钟，尽量减少手机与网络使用。
